Gmail cleanup permissions, explained

Connecting Gmail asks for `openid`, `email`, and `gmail.modify`. Modify is what lets InboxMint apply a folder, archive, move mail to Gmail Trash, or leave a list — after you confirm. It is not a separate send/receive client, and it is not a hidden full-mailbox wipe.

Tokens stay encrypted on the server. Scans use the current inbox, not Trash. InboxMint does not read message bodies with an LLM. If a Google screen lists modify, that is the honest scope for cleanup. You can disconnect in Google account settings anytime.
