Will InboxMint delete my existing Gmail filters?

No. It does not manage the filter list. Actions apply to the inbox mail you confirm.

Can I use both filters and InboxMint?

Yes. Just know they can both move the same sender. Prefer one owner per address so you are not debugging two systems.

Is Categorize secretly creating a filter?

It saves an InboxMint organize rule for that exact From. It is not the Gmail filters screen.

Do I need search operators like older_than?

No. There is no age query. Inbox senders only.
