Recover Gmail after cleanup — Trash is still Gmail’s

If a cleanup tool hid mail in its own vault, recovery would depend on that vendor. InboxMint does the opposite: confirmed Trash goes to Gmail Trash. Open Trash in Gmail, move the thread back, and you are done — for about 30 days, unless you empty Trash yourself.
